RRW

This week’s challenge comes from the fabulous Fiona Riplee:

She wants to find out some insights into the psyche of your mind by learning about what movie or Network series that you LOVE to watch. What do you think the movie(s) or show(s) says about your creative personality?

Favorite movies: “Ever After” with Drew Barrymore, “Sleeping with the Enemy” with Julia Roberts, “Hitch” with Will Smith and, of course, “The Princess Bride”.

They are all about facing hardship and being ‘rescued’ by love. All very different, all very much the same when it comes to the theme. And all with that HEA we love so much! “Ever After” would have to be a favorite since I have always loved fairy tales. “Sleeping with the Enemy” gave me courage, “Hitch” makes me laugh and “The Princess Bride” — well, it has everything.

Favorite shows: “Criminal Minds”, “Top Chef”, “Married at First Sight” and duh…”The Bachelor/Bachelorette”.

“Criminal Minds” is helping me with my latest romantic suspense, and “Top Chef” with my latest contemporary. “Married at First Sight” is just plain fascinating. The evolution of these couples is a ‘can’t look away’ experience. And yes, I am a member of Bachelor Nation and I don’t care who knows it. Seriously, what romance writer isn’t?

Here are some suggestions to read if you’re not watching the tube or going to a movie.

And coming soon….

  1. Fiona Riplee says:

Sleeping With the Enemy and Hitch are great movies. Sleeping With the Enemy was just a bone chilling story. Hitch was a great romantic comedy and I loved the fact that the male lead, Hitch (Will Smith) was the one who was helping people find love.

Great choices. I love the way all your favourites show how women gain strength in the face of adversity. I’m all about the journey!
