This week, the challenge comes from the wonderful A.S. Fenichel:

It’s cold in most places. What’s your favorite vacation spot? This can be someplace you’ve been or someplace you dream of going. If you have a book with a terrific vacation spot, work it in, too. 🙂

When you step off a plane in Hawaii, it’s like entering a different world. The air is redolent with the seductive scent of a thousand delicious blooms and the warm air is like a caress. If you continue on to the big island, breakfast can be found by driving along the coastline of the island. Local vendors offer fresh papaya and coffee: a perfect combination.

Pristine white sand edges its way to warm turquoise waters that sparkle in the sun. Just walking the beach and stretching up to the bright blue sky is liberating. Majestic palms sway in a dance that invites you to feel their rhythm. This is truly paradise. It is a simple existence and a magnificent one.

Now, if only the real estate wasn’t so expensive….I would so extend a vacation into a lifetime.

  1. You’ve got the cost of living thing right. If I would just hit the lottery, I’d be in San Francisco right now. LOL Love the post Leslie! XOXO

I also love Hawaii – it’s that place amazing? If I could afford to live there I’d move there in a heartbeat. Thanks for sharing, Leslie.

  3. Definitely a place I would like to go. Just the thought of those beaches makes me want to hop on a plane 😀

  4. I was amazed at how expensive something as simple as a loaf of bread was in Hawaii. It really would be paradise if it weren’t for stuff like that. Still loved it, though. =)
