‘Do you like to read romance novels? Wouldn’t you like to know more about your favorite authors? Well you came to the right place! Join the writers of Romance Weekly as we go behind the scenes of our books and tell all….. About our writing of course! Every week we’ll answer questions and after you’ve enjoyed the blog on this site we’ll direct you to another. So come back often for a thrilling ride! Tell your friends and feel free to ask us questions in the comment box.

1. What’s your ideal: alpha or beta and why?

I like some of both.  Too much alpha can make for an overbearing egotist and too much beta can be a pushover.  The combination makes for a hero (or heroine) who is strong and compassionate.

2. Do you have a male buddy or mate you use for confirmation or inspiration when crafting your heroes?

My heroes are an amalgam off men:  my husband, male friends, ex-lovers, movie stars, fictional heroes.  I form a vision drawing on all those I have seen, imagined or known.

3. What does any hero have to do to win your heart?

A hero has to be willing to admit he was wrong. We all love the bad boys, but when it comes down to it, I want to spend my life with a man who cares more for my feelings than his own.

Let’s get another perspective and see what S.C. Mitchell has to say…

  4. Tessa Gray says:

A man who admits he’s WRONG? Where would I find a fellow like this? I so enjoyed your responses!

Nicely done, Leslie. I’d never really thought about my heroes as amalgams of people I know. Excellent way to describe them.

A combination sounds pretty perfect 😀

You are so right, I would rather have a man who at least considers how I feel about things in life than just assume because he likes it or wants it I do 🙂 Great post!!!
