This week’s challenge comes from the very talented Susan Scott Shelley:

A player’s walk-up song (aka Entrance Theme), whether he’s heading to the pitcher’s mound or the batter’s box, can tell a lot about him. What song would you choose for yours?

In the beginning, when I had finished my first novel and wanted to see it published, I am sure my walk-up song would have been “Desperado” by the Eagles. I sent out that first manuscript and polished it and sent it again. Finally, the e-mail came. I had to read it over and over again. Really? Black Opal Books wanted “Captain’s Captive”! I don’t think I have ever been more excited in my life.( I just finished second edits and am waiting for a release date. Can’t wait!)

In the meantime, I sold three more books, two of which are available: “Texas Summer” and “The Defiant Bride“. And, I just signed with Eternal Press to publish “Hannah’s War“. I am thrilled.

But my choice now for a walk-up theme: writing has always been my “Heartbeat Song” (Kelly Clarkson).

Let’s see what the wonderful Susan Scott Shelley comes up with. After all, this was her idea!
