This week’s questions come from the fabulous Beth Carter whose “Thursdays at Coconuts” is a delight.
1. Which type of character do you prefer writing about: Sexy, romantic, sweet, quirky, mean, old, young, smart, silly or other?
I think there are facets to everyone, so each character incorporates a combination. The fun comes in choosing which qualities to add and then developing them.
2. Have you ever killed off (or gotten back at) an ex in your writing? On paper, of course.
Oh, yes! *rubbing her hands together with glee* “Jenna’s War”, which is my latest, was also the most cathartic since I described him in detail and then killed him. Revenge is a dish best served on paper.
3. What hobbies do you have that you incorporate in your writing?
Horseback riding, cooking, sewing all show up in various books.
Let’s see what juicy secrets the incredibly talented and prolific Sarah Hegger has revealed.

Love that quote! Great answers, Leslie 😀 Thanks for sharing!
I know who to bug the next time I have a horse question. I have them in all my books and know next to nothing about horses.
What saddle do you ride when horseback riding? English or Western? Do you trail ride or do something competitive? My daughter also rides and has for the last 15 years. Thanks for sharing!
Western. I have been riding for years, but I’ve slowed down lately. I miss it.
Loved your revenge answer! Laughed when I read how much pleasure you got out of killing off your ex. Fun…!Great answers.
