The talented Kim Handysides has come up with this idea. She wants to hear about everyone’s first kiss.

First Kiss

He was my idea of adorable. Piercing blue eyes, dimples and a sprinkling of freckles across his nose. I smiled at him through lowered lashes. He returned my attention by pulling my hair. I was afraid he liked the blonde girl better, but I suppose I was just preparing for disappointment.

It was late September, just as the summer reluctantly gives way to the coming chill of winter. I was walking home, shivering from the unexpected cold. He sidled up next to me and offered his sweater. I inhaled the scent of him as I enveloped myself in it. Too soon, we reached my door. I unwrapped the woolen warmth and leaned over to hand it back. He moved as I did and our lips touched. His mouth was so soft, so welcoming. I held my breath. After a moment, the connection was broken.

Then, he grinned and strutted away.
