The brilliant Susan Peterson Wisnewski has come up with an idea for an exercise this week instead of the usual questions. Write a ‘flash fiction’ and use the words ‘chocolate’, ‘candle’ and ‘scarf’. How much fun is this!

Okay…here’s mine…..

When I heard it, the knock on the door didn’t surprise me. I had even shaved my legs. Sometimes you just know. He walked in, closed the door and leaned back against it. He was everything a man should be. I had hoped he would be pleased. Now, it was obvious he was drinking it all in. The room was lit by a single candle and I was dressed in nothing but a sheer silk scarf. I was running my tongue along a piece of chocolate, savoring the sweetness as it melted. I licked my lips. Delicious.

“Want some?” I asked.

Now, let’s see what the wonderful Susan Peterson Wisnewski comes up with. After all, it was her idea.
