‘Do you like to read romance novels? Wouldn’t you like to know more about your favorite authors? Well you came to the right place! Join the writers of Romance Weekly as we go behind the scenes of our books and tell all….. About our writing of course! Every week we’ll answer questions and after you’ve enjoyed the blog on this site we’ll direct you to another. So come back often for a thrilling ride! Tell your friends and feel free to ask us questions in the comment box.

 1. How often do you write?

I try to put words to paper every day, but even when I can’t, I write in my head. I have notes all over the house and in my car so I don’t forget ideas.

2. Do you think it’s important to your craft to write as much as you can, and as often as you can?

Writing is like exercising a muscle. If you don’t use it, you lose the flow. If I haven’t had a chance to sit down for a few days, it’s that much harder to get back to it. Sometimes, life has other plans, but I do write as often and as much as I possibly can.

 3. What is your opinion on the saying “if you don’t write every day, you’re not a writer?

I think that anyone who sits in judgment should be spending their time working on their own stuff and not on mine.

Let’s see what Jo Richardson has to say. I am always interested in another writer’s process. How about you?

  1. Work those writer muscles! 😉

  2. I agree about writers giving other writers a break. Focus o your own career and you’ll be better off1

I love the reference to exercising. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told my children this very thing, use it or lose it 🙂 Great answers!!!

    1. Thanks. Will make the rounds tomorrow.

  4. Fiona Riplee says:

I wonder if those with judgement just talk about their writing and never actually write?

Leslie, nice exercise analogy. As far as the notes all over thing, I keep Evernote on my smart phone open and am constantly adding stuff to it. God help me if I ever lose the phone.

  6. I need to do what Gemma does and put Evernote on my smart phone because I get stacks of notes I then transfer to my writing Bible.

  7. Ronnie Allen says:

The comparison to a muscle is spot on! Got to use it or lose the desire to make it happen.

  8. Harliqueen says:

I have notes everywhere too 😀 I never want to forget even the slightest idea. Great answers!
