Tell your friends and feel free to ask us questions in the comment box.

1. When did you start writing, and why?

One day, about a million years ago, I was going to do some housework.  I thought to myself—I can either do that or write a book. So, I sat down and wrote a novel.  It wasn’t a very good one, but it was the start of my true passion.

2. What do you like best about writing?

Going there.  In my imagination, I can be wherever I’m writing about, meet new people, experience new things.  Very exciting!

3. If you could go on a writing retreat, where would you go and for how long?

I would go to an English castle and tour the countryside, letting it all seep into my bones.  I would stay just long enough.

I wonder when Brenda Margriet started writing…let’s go see.

What a great story 😀 I think it’s great you chose writing, think of where you’d be now if you’d chosen house work? (You should never choose housework!)

    1. Thanks. You are so kind!

  3. Writing over housework ANY day!

You mention that your novel wasn’t a very good one, but in my opinion it was the very best one because you sat down to write it and found your passion! Wonderful.
